Peace One Day (or short POD) is an International event that is held
at the 21st September, the International Day of Peace, that occurs each
year.
Founded in 1999 by the British documentary filmmaker and
actor Jeremy Gilley, Peace One Day led a successful campaign recognising
Peace Day as a day of global ceasefire and non-violence.
Last
year, Al-Azhar 9 JHS participated the event by spreading Peace cards
and have a video conference with Yoko Takagi, the author of Machinto
(Japanese illustration book).
